C&#039;est un espace partagé où ses membres se retrouvent pour créer, développer des projets autour des technologies, nouvelles ou anciennes. <br /> <br /> L&#039;idée de créer cet espace a été lancée à l&#039;occasion du Chaos Computer Camp de 2008 à Berlin. Le 21 janvier 2009, un groupe de 17 personnes, qui ne se connaissaient pas vraiment, s&#039;est réuni pour la première fois avec pour ambition de créer un hackerspace à Dublin. L&#039;envie était là et quelques mois plus tard, une vingtaine de personnes se retrouvaient sous un même toit pour commencer des activités ensemble. TOG était né.<br /> <br /> <br /> == Humain / communauté ==<br /> <br /> <br /> Constitué en &quot;charity&quot;, tous les membres sont bénévoles.<br /> Le hackerspace compte 29 adhérents dont 16 sont présents depuis le début de l&#039;aventure. Si les membres sont plutôt des hommes, on retrouve 5/6 filles dans les rangs de TOG. <br /> L&#039;adhésion se fait en deux étapes:<br /> - étape 1: coopté par un adhérent, vous êtes membres probatoire pendant 3 mois,<br /> - étape 2: si l&#039;adhérent se retrouve dans le projet du hackerspace et inversement, après la phase de probation, il devient membre à part entière (et du coup possède les clés du local)<br /> <br /> <br /> == Usages ==<br /> <br /> <br /> Le hackerspace s&#039;organise autour de plusieurs espaces: salle de classe, bibliothèque, salle de travaux manuels, atelier, laboratoire, cuisine, espace commun.<br /> <br /> Plusieurs activités sont possibles:<br /> * venir bricoler librement,<br /> * participer à des rencontres (TOG organise des rencontres autour des réseaux, de l&#039;électronique... ou prend part à certains événements comme la maker faire de la Science Gallery),<br /> * suivre des formations,<br /> * prendre part à des soirées thématiques (ex. travaux manuels le mardi).<br /> <br /> Tout le monde peut venir y faire ce qu&#039;il y souhaite.
